Night out with friends

It was a wonderful time meeting friends from high school. We walked through a park at night, talking about silly memories from our school days. After covering a long distance, we decided to grab some ramen to satisfy our late-night hunger. It was my first time trying Iekei ramen. The combination of thick noodles and rich tonkotsu broth felt almost magical. It instantly satisfied my appetite.

Inspired by Greg Girard’s photography, I lowered the highlights and blacks to recreate his slightly underexposed aesthetic, adding a sense of mystery. I also introduced a subtle blue tint in the shadows to create a cooler tone. Finally, I shifted the hue of the reds slightly toward magenta to deepen and enrich the colour, giving the image a denser, more atmospheric feel.
