I walked around the Skytree area with my girlfriend this week. Even though we didn't go up to the observation deck, the experience itself was amazing.
For those who aren't familiar with it, the Tokyo Skytree is the tallest structure in Japan, standing at 634 meters tall. Its presence was truly majestic, and it took me a moment to comprehend that it was built by human hands. Of course, the engineers and architects behind it are far smarter than I am, but they're still human. Standing beneath it made me appreciate what people can achieve when imagination, knowledge, and determination come together.
I edited this photo to create a film-inspired look, as I usually do. To achieve that aesthetic, I lifted the blacks, reduced the clarity, and shifted the sky from blue toward cyan. I also added a subtle touch of orange to the highlights to create a warmer contrast against the cooler tones of the sky.
These adjustments helped give the image a nostalgic feel while emphasizing the sense of wonder I felt standing beneath the Skytree.
